Info Post
You betcha! These jeans are McCall5142, more affectionately known as "mom jeans". That's just fine, because--well, that's what I am! I made the relaxed fit version from a striated blue denim that was in my stash.

I followed the Jeans Sew-Along on PR, and there was a lot of really great information about sewing jeans. These have a contoured waistband, which is faced with red bandanna fabric. The fly facing is the same fabric, as are the pockets. I used a red zipper. White top stitching with heavy-weight thread.

I love these jeans. They fit well and feel good. I prefer really dark denim, and have a couple pieces of indigo to make more. I ordered another jeans pattern from JenniferStern. She has a couple of jeans patterns. One is for "curvy girls", and I definitely qualify! When that pattern gets here, I'll work on it, and make another pair of jeans. Both the McCall and Stern patterns are designed for non-stretch denim. I have other jeans patterns for stretch fabric, including the Jalie pattern that's so popular on the sew-along.

I've also been working on t-shirts, and have fabric on order to make a few more. Today, I cut out the CJPatterns Inset Jacket and it's ready to sew.

Have a great week everyone!
