Info Post
Sewing has really been at a stand-still lately. I haven't had a good block of time to sew, and not much ambition. Funerals, doctor appointments, and other life things have taken up my time and energy.

This morning, I put on a dress to go to church--one that I made last year. I love this dress. It is very hot and humid today, and this dress it the most comfortable garment I could find.

I started with this OOP McCall Pattern: 8108. If it were any older, it would be vintage!

It's such a simple, loose type dress. I made a tie in the back to cinch it in and give it some shape. I made an elbow-length sleeve, and trimmed the edges of the sleeves and hems with a full ruffle. It's made of a poly georgette, and honestly, I could sleep in it and it would not wrinkle.

I noticed though, that I need to practice the lady-like skills needed to get in and out of a vehicle, if you know what I mean!

There's a couple of things on my cutting table, that I'm hoping to get to this week. I'm ready for fall, especially on a miserable day like this one.

Now, I have to walk the "dreadmill". And make a salad, which I'm going to have an affair with after while!

Have a good week!
